Requirements:  Must be 5 by August 30th

Prerequisite:  Previous preschool experience and a Kindergarten Assessment

Ratios: Ohio Job and Family Services allows for a 1 teacher to 18 students ratio.  However, we will not exceed 2 teachers with 14 students (1 licensed teacher and 1 instructional aide.)  The small class size allows us to offer a unique learning experience and a smoother transition to a larger class size in an elementary school setting, while fostering a love of learning and s strong foundation for success.

Research has shown the importance of a high-quality full time Kindergarten program.  The following is a link to the National Education Association (NEA) with more information: {NEA research link to benefits of full-time K}

Our Kindergarten teacher hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education (PreK-3) from The Ohio State University.  She has taught in an elementary setting for five years and has been here at New Hope Preschool for three years.

Our program is Monday-Thursday from 9:00-3:00.

Curriculum:  We follow the Common Core and the Ohio Preschool Standards that are set by the state.
